Beautiful Everywhere

Good afternoon and welcome back to this afternoons' blog. I realise I've not provided an update for a while, so here we go. This Is Me is closing in on 500, I Have A Voice is almost at 400, Swifties Are The Best Friends Ever has been the fastest to 100 and Believe In Yourself is the fastest to 200. Thank you so much everyone for reading, sharing with friends and family and generally supporting my blog. It truly does mean the world.

Today's topic is one that was suggested by my 'twin' (read Swifties Are The Best Friends Ever for background on the whole twin situation). When you use the word beautiful people think about whether or not they are physically attractive. But being beautiful is a lot more than that. We can also be beautiful on the inside - in our thoughts, in our words and in our opinions of others. A truly beautiful person will always look out for other people, putting others before themselves, and is always prepared to go that extra mile to put a smile on a friend's face. But how can we show our Aphrodite beauty on the inside..?

The easiest thing we can all do is to think positive thoughts about other people. And I'm not just saying are they pretty or 'fit'. There's a lot more to life than having a pair of 33B's (you know who you are!!!). Think about genuine qualities that people can have: confidence, selflessness, a kind heart, positivity. Having these qualities is what allows people to live life to the fullest. Think about how these trends can help other people. You wouldn't want someone refusing to help you because they are selfish. So don't be selfish towards others. Treat others how you would like to be treated (said literally every teacher ever)!

Being beautiful is also showing consideration for how other people are feeling. We don't know what other people are experiencing in their lives. They might have just suffered a family bereavement, maybe they've just lost their job or perhaps they are suffering with a mental health condition. Unless we ask we just can't tell. So don't do anything that could make them feel worse. If you see someone looking a bit down, simply ask them "How are you feeling?" or "Do you need anything?" Trust me it can make a massive difference to someone's day, and subsequently their life. Or if you know someone is going through a difficult period, buy them a gift. Not necessarily an expensive gift, but a small token gift such as a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers. This shows that you are caring about them and really can make someone feel like they mean something because others care how they feel.

You don't have to be everyone's best friend in life, but just remember that every person has feelings and struggles in their life. You've got to be considerate and helpful towards our fellow humans. This is what makes us truly beautiful people. Not whether we have blonde hair, blue eyes, curves and a petite figure (any girls matching that description feel free to hook me up)! Beauty is inside and outside, and can be present in every decision we make.

Announcement time! Next week I will have a very special guest writer for the first time! A totally different writing style to what you get from me but nonetheless an incredible writer! Hopefully you are excited - there will be more information heading your way on Friday. Until then - stay safe, wash your hands and stay indoors if you are over 50 (who makes these ridiculous suggestions)?

Connor
