Premier League Predictions (Rearranged games due to COVID)
Manchester City v Wolves
The impressive form of Manchester City continued against West Ham at the weekend, and will continue even further here. They have found a way of controlling games when they get in front and passing the life out of teams. Wolves haven't impressed me all season, however, I am comparing them to last season when they were exceptional. They still should be higher in the league this season.
Prediction 2-0
Burnley v Leicester
Both of these sides were well beaten at the weekend - Burnley at Spurs and Leicester by Arsenal. Burnley will feel they need the points as they are another team being dragged into a relegation battle because of Fulham's improvement in results. Leicester still have a cushion in the Champions League places, but with injuries piling up for them, this is no easy away day for them.
Prediction 1-1
Sheffield United v Aston Villa
Sheffield United might start winning a few games now - they are so far from safety there is surely no pressure on them anymore. I feel for Chris Wilder as he has the same squad as last season when they took everyone by surprise. Villa had another excellent win at Leeds at the weekend, and in doing so maintain a push towards the European places. I would expect them to win this one too.
Prediction 0-2
Crystal Palace v Manchester United
Palace will be relieved to have come away with a draw at the weekend - they did not have a single shot on target and conceded 16 shots against them. They always seem to be difficult to beat, even when they do not play well. Manchester United were poor at Stamford Bridge at the weekend and never really looked like winning the game. This is another big test for them and another difficult game.
Prediction 1-1
Fulham v Tottenham
Fulham have been on a really good run lately and have pulled themselves to within sight of Newcastle and Brighton. However, they have a tricky run of fixtures that starts here. Spurs have scored 4 times in 3 of their last 4 games, and with Gareth Bale finding the net as well, I can only see Spurs winning this one with something to spare.
Prediction 0-3
West Brom v Everton
The Baggies claimed a massive win at the weekend, with a lot of help from referee Lee Mason and the VAR Simon Hooper. Despite that, they have given themselves a slim chance if they can put a run together. This is a tough game for them though, and I would expect Everton to come out on top. If Sam Allardyce is to keep West Brom up, he needs to start keeping clean sheets on a regular basis. I can't imagine them keeping one here though.
Prediction 1-2
Liverpool v Chelsea
Liverpool got back to winning ways against Sheffield United at the weekend, but they can hardly say they have turned a corner. They were lucky not to go behind and have VAR to thank for that. Chelsea are still undefeated under Tuchel, but never looked like winning or losing against Manchester United - what a poor game that was! I think both teams will want to win this one, which is why I am backing the draw.
Prediction 1-1
