Busking on the streets of London - Charlotte Campbell style

Good afternoon and welcome back to this afternoon's blog. As the domestic football season draws to a close, I can finally begin working my way through the growing list of incredible, original and quite simply sensationally engaging ideas that I have for articles. Alright, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I do realise that many of you are not interested in any form of sport at all. Another big passion of mine is live music and in particular local artists and the busking community. This is a great way to appeal to a mass audience every day, although you might only have a matter of minutes if you are lucky to entice a crowd. One artist who is becoming an expert at this is Charlotte Campbell; she is a London busker who is amazing in every possible way. Here, I explore what has made her such a popular figure and how her career is continuing to blossom despite lockdown and the pandemic. 

Charlotte utilises the busking industry in a very clever fashion in every way imaginable. When she sees a crowd of people walking past her, she will switch her set list so she can perform a well known cover that will get everyone to stop, listen and enjoy, before following it up with an incredible original that will intrigue people into wanting to hear more. Busking is not about getting people to stop for hours listening to an entire set, but instead giving people just enough that they go home and research her, find her music on social media and maybe even plan a future journey so that they are walking past again.

Charlotte has a wide range of originals that are all based upon experiences that she has had. The title of this article - the streets of London - is itself a title of one of her best songs. It's crowd-pleasing and crowd-participation draws you in and immediately you begin to feel part of her musical family. Charlotte has many influences from a range of different eras and genres, but there is an obvious resemblance to the incredible Taylor Swift, who she often covers to an exceptionally high standard. Her latest single, On Your Side, is a classic Charlotte Campbell song containing elegance, pure musical understanding and excellent vocals as ever. As many artists have been over the course of the last year, Charlotte has taken to online platforms such as Facebook and Twitch to continue playing music for people as well as expanding her viewership and fanbase. It is not just the music that forces you to stay and watch, but also her delightfully friendly and caring personality. She ensures she takes time to read and respond to every single comment either  during the performance or afterwards, and she makes everyone who is watching for the first time feel like part of her crew. Her streams are a place of happiness, calming, safety and friendliness.

Good afternoon and welcome back to this afternoon's blog. What a funny week we have had. Scotland are beginning to ease their way out of lockdown, while some parts of England are heading towards a second one. I Have A Voice

Good afternoon and welcome back to the second instalment of my blog. Thank you to all those who read my post on Monday. I was not expecting so many of you to take time out your day to learn about me (to be fair you probably had nothing better to do).
