Premier League Matchday 33 Predictions

Southampton v Leicester Leicester look like they have done enough to hold onto a top four finish which would be an amazing achievement for them this season. Kelechi Iheanacho for so long has been in Jamie Vardy's shadow but he has more than taken his chance and looks to have secured his side Champions League football next season. Southampton were awful when these teams met at Wembley recently and will definitely want to prove a point, but the Foxes will be too strong again. Prediction 1-2 Crystal Palace v Manchester City There are some question marks surrounding the future of Roy Hodgson that I really do not understand. He has guided Palace to a comfortable mid-table finish which is surely the best they can be hoping for. City, meanwhile, are just a couple of wins away from the league and might have half an eye on the second leg against PSG on Tuesday. They have such a large group of talent to pick from though and I expect them to maintain their good form. Prediction 0-2 Brighton v...

100TH BLOG!!!!!!

HEY EVERYONE So that is not usually how I start an article but today is a very special occasion...100 blog hyyyyyyyype time!!! It is truly mind blowing to think that almost a year ago today is when I started this blog. I thought I might have a couple of readers each week and that it would die a slow death after a few months. But here I am still going stronger than ever! So I really wanted to do something a bit different today that would benefit every one of us. As we come out of a very difficult and emotionally draining year, I thought I would provide something that we all need some of now and again...inspiration. This can be for anything but it is such a powerful and underestimated tool. So without any further ado, here are 20 of my favourite inspirational quotes that I found after doing some hella extensive research. I remember these during hard times all too well (surely you're not surprised by that)!!! “The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story y...

Premier League Matchday 32 and Carabao Cup Final Predictions

Arsenal v Everton Everton's season has slipped so much that the Gunners will leapfrog them tonight with a win. Mikel Arteta will want his team to be more ruthless tonight - they should have been out of sight against Fulham last week. Eddie Nketiah got on the scoresheet at a time when Aubameyang and Lacazette are both out of the side; how they would love another one tonight. While Everton still have an outside chance of a top four finish, a defeat here would surely put an end to those. Prediction 2-1 Liverpool v Newcastle This is a fixture that Liverpool always seem to win, and they have to win this one to keep pressure on the teams ahead of them. Steve Bruce will be thinking that they have already done enough to secure safety, although a win at Anfield would be a wonderful bonus for them. Jurgen Klopp will be pleased with how his side have improved recently after an awful run of results, and I expect them to continue that good form here. Prediction 3-0 West Ham v Chelsea This is a ...

Premier League Midweek Predictions

These fixtures were moved from the weekend due to teams participating in the FA Cup semi-finals: Chelsea v Brighton Chelsea were by far the better team in their game at Wembley and will surely fancy lifting at least one trophy this season. Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech stole the show and ran rings around the Manchester City back four. Brighton will be boosted by Fulham's late concession yesterday; even with a defeat here they will still have a healthy cushion in their bid to avoid the drop. Prediction 2-0 Tottenham v Southampton Jose Mourinho's sacking on Monday morning was surprising to me. He was appointed to win trophies and they part ways with him a week before the Carabao Cup final. I can not imagine this was a snap decision so surely they have someone waiting in the wings, although it seems that Ryan Mason will take the team for this game. The Saints were below par at Wembley and never really looked like making it to the final. Mourinho's departure leads me to fancy th...

Premier League Matchday 31 and FA Cup Semi-final Predictions

Premier League Matchday 31 Everton v Tottenham This is a massive game in the race for a place in the top four. Everton will feel more pressure to win it because they are at home and have the tougher run in, while Spurs will feel that a win here will put them in prime position to pounce if anyone ahead of them slip up. Spurs were totally outplayed by Manchester United last week, but I expect them to come out on top here. Prediction 1-2 Newcastle v West Ham A win here for Newcastle would all but settle the issue at the bottom of the league. Having Callum Wilson back too should be a huge boost and increase their attacking threat. Although West Ham are winning games, being 3-0 ahead in back-to-back games and only winning 3-2 is worrying. They need to control games better if they are to cement a top four finish. I do not see the Hammers scoring three at St. James' Park though. Prediction 1-1 Wolves v Sheffield United Sheffield United will be relegated this weekend if they lose and they ...

the 1

Good afternoon and welcome back to this afternoon's blog. I have no doubt that many of you will not read this until tomorrow morning after you recover from the first night back at the pub. And in all honesty that is fine. Go out and meet friends and family, have a drink, try to stay warm but please also remember to follow the rules for the good of everyone. We are a little over two months away from a potentially normal life; let's not risk going backwards now. Before we get into the meat of today's topic, I can hear you all screaming "your title hasn't got a capital letter" and "you used the number 1 instead of the word one". Let me explain - this blog has nothing to do with Taylor Swift but since you all expect references in my work I thought I would put one right up the top. So now you are all wondering "what do you mean by the 1?" Have you ever been in that position where you experience lots of dates or meeting people, lots of messaging ...

Premier League Matchday 30 Predictions

Fulham v Wolves A poor recent run of results and a daunting fixture list coming up after this weekend really puts emphasis on Fulham picking up a win. I fancy them to dominate most of the game but they have to turn that into chances and goals. Wolves have been improved of late but with nothing to play for I will question the intensity of their performances for the rest of the season. Even so, I can't see Fulham taking al the points here. Prediction 1-1 Manchester City v Leeds When these teams met at Elland Road earlier in the season, it was an absolutely captivating game that could have gone either way. This game will be totally different however. City have well and truly found their stride and need just a few more wins to wrap up the title. Leeds will be Leeds and attack when they can, but in all honesty they need to get the ball first which is usually an issue for visiting teams to the Etihad. Prediction 3-0 Liverpool v Aston Villa The reverse fixture has to go down as one of the...

Who Am I?

Good afternoon everyone. Over the last few months I am very grateful and honoured to have a lot of new readers who were not with me when I began this journey. Therefore, I thought I would repost my first ever article from almost a year ago to fill everyone in as to who I am, what I do and what I am all about. Although it might have something to do with the fact that I am super busy this week and really am short on time, but you didn't really need to know that did you? Once again I thank all the new friends that I have made and for the ones who have been with me since I started in May 2020. I would also like in the comments below ideas for my 100th blog article which we are fast approaching - this is number 94 for the record. Thank you for this in advance. Connor X Good afternoon and welcome to my first ever blog! My name is Connor and I live in London (not actually in London but the last London borough). Believe it or not I have a friend who calls me out on that! I am super excited...

Premier League Matchday 29 Predictions

Chelsea v West Brom Sooner or later the Blues will lose a game under Thomas Tuchel, but it would be a massive surprise if it was against the Baggies. Chelsea have found a way of playing that allows them to control the game and create enough chances to win them. Sam Allardyce has never been relegated as a manager before but surely that is about to change. They will take pride in the fact they were 3-0 up on their opponents in the reverse fixture, but they threw it away which has summed up their season. Prediction 3-0 Leeds v Sheffield United Leeds are safe from the drop and are going to finish comfortably in mid-table, but Marcelo Bielsa will still expect a professional level of performance. They will keep playing their attacking style of football and they should get a lot of chances here. Sheffield United will surely sit back and try to absorb pressure, but they are not good enough defensively to keep the hosts at bay. Prediction 2-0 Leicester v Manchester City Brendan Rodgers will be ...
